Swim Caps
Purple Latex Swim Caps will be given to all registered swimmers. Extras are available for purchase. For relay championships in July, swimmers MUST wear the purple caps (if they wear a cap) or be disqualified (DQ).
Cost: $10 each
Here is the rule of thumb for deciding which size is right for your child:
BOYS: Measure their waist
Waist " = Jammer size
GIRLS: Measure their chest
Chest " = Suit size
Swim Suits
Click on the links below to view the suggested team suits. It is not mandatory that your child have one of these, but wearing the same style and the team colors gives them more of a sense of being part of a team and helps boost team spirit. The tee shirts and swim caps are also part of "swim team apparel." If you are not sure if your swimmer will like the team experience, I would hold off on the suit (the suits tend to run about $35 dollars).
The suit is called Sporti Light Wave (thin strapped for the girls). The team colors are black and purple.

There are some differences based youth and adult size. The brand does list some dimensions for sizing, but it basically comes down to hip, waist, and chest sizes for the girls and waist sizing for the boys. Competitions suits usually fit very snug, but it is a personal preference. All suits tend to stretch over time. While you are looking at the Swim Outlet site, the only other equipment ALL swimmers need are goggles. Googles can be found at Target and sporting goods stores. All swimmers misplace goggles in summer swim season. Sharpie maybe used to mark the label inside with a name.
