Brook Park Swim Team

Hello parents.

Thursday night will be a busy night at the pool with team pictures and the meet against Richland. Here is a tentative schedule for the night below.

1.Swimmers will organize for their team picture 5:15 - 5:20 PM. Swimmers should be in their team suit or purple t shirt. No swim caps until the picture is done. A picture will be given to all swimmers at the team party in August. (Thursday, August 17^th)

2.After we get the team picture done, then swimmers will get their events written on their hands and warm up.

3.Orders for t-shirts and hoodies were distributed at practice this week. Or can be picked up on Thursday at the scorer’s table. I have a few purple t-shirts for sale, $10 cash in both kids and adult sizes.

4.If you have any old BP swim team gear that doesn’t fit anyone on your house, please feel free to bring down and we will find a new swimmer. I hope to use the benches in the baby pool to display items.

5.I anticipate that the concessions will be up and running by the time warmups are over for BP. Richland gets the pool at 6 PM and the meet begins at 6:30. Again, parking will be at a premium. And the weather looks cool again, so please plan accordingly.

6.Swimmers should go to the swimmer line up area (pink cards) to pick up their event card prior to their races. Swimmers need their teammates to compete, and showing up behind the blocks is not helpful. Parents are permitted to stay with young swimmers as they line up behind the blocks.

7.Finally, a reminder that line ups are written the day before the meet. If you need to remove a swimmer the day of the meet, please text or speak with Coach Elizabeth (412 216-6013) or Marissa (412 313-3322) as most events are relays.
