Reminders:

The coaches would like to see the swimmers at the pool around 5:45 PM.  Like our home meet, the swimmers will check in with the coaches and get the number of their events. Warm ups for the visiting team is at 6 PM. We will be swimming in lanes 4, 5, and 6.  There are some chairs and bleachers, but you may also bring your own chair or blanket.

From the Shaler swim team:

Our concession stand will be open, and we will also have lucky duckies for sale. Parents can purchase a rubber duck for $1 and we will deliver them to the swimmers during the meet! 

Parking shouldn’t be an issue as there are several lots.

The concession stand is a ballpark type of stand with frozen treats, drinks, and french fries. It is next to the stands for the pool. I think there were chicken fingers there last year. The proceeds for the lucky (rubber) duckies sale goes to the swim team. 

The swimmers will be sitting in the grass area across from the stands, under some shade. The rest of the pool will remain open for their community (it is a very large community pool). As tomorrow is projected to be hot, I would expect many kids splashing in the shallow end. 

There is a chance of thunder storms tomorrow. For swim meets, we follow the direction of the pool manager / referee. This typically means a 30 minutes wait after thunder is heard.  Swimmers will have to wait in their own cars as there is no place else to wait safely.  This situation is exceptionally difficult with children. Hopefully, we will get the swim meet in without a glitch. We will utilize the SwimTopia web site to communicate if necessary.

The line up should be available on SwimTopia after 12 noon.  Prior to that, it is not finalized.
