Parents, 

As we are coming to the end of the season, we have opened the last 2 meets for you to declare your swimmer. We ask you to declare if your child is able to swim, should they be selected to represent the Brook Park Swim Team for next week's Championship Meets. Participation in these meets is by invitation only, however all swimmers must still declare their availability. This needs to be done by Friday, July 9th at 10 AM. 

For those who are new to NHSSL, the Individual Championship meet will run on Tuesday, July 13 at Shaler Township pool and the Relay Championships are on Thursday, July 15 at Richland Swim Club. All entries for these meets are seeded according to time. There are limited entries from each team to make the meet more manageable in length. Awards are given for the top six places and a trophy for the winning team on Thursday night. There are no alternate heats at either meet. 

The coaches are looking at each age group to determine the swimmers who are eligible for these meets. The coaches will put out a list of entries this weekend to let the swimmers know who is entered into the meet. 

Practice will continue to be held next week. We encourage your child to come to practice even if they are not selected to participate in the Championship Meets. 

We will need some volunteers for these meets. It is expected that those whose children are in the meet will help Brook Park with the volunteer requirements. Look for those positions later this weekend.
