    Upcoming Meets

Hello Brook Park Swim Team Parents and Swimmers

Our first meet is quickly approaching! Please declare your child's availability on the Swimtopia website for the June 15th meet at Adams Ridge and the June 17th meet at Brook Park. The sign up for declaring your swimmer will close the morning before the day of the meet. The sooner you are able to declare, the easier it will be for the coaches to compose a line-up. If you know your schedule already, feel free to declare your swimmers for the rest of the swim season. If something comes up, you can change the availability later.

We will swim an away meet at the Adams Ridge pool on June 15th. [100 Adams Ridge Blvd., Mars, PA 16046]. The team website has all pool addresses. Since it is an away meet, our warm ups will start at 6 PM, with swimmers arriving at 5:45 PM. After you have entered the pool area, find one of our coaches. They will mark what events your child swims on their hand with a sharpie. Swimmer line-up volunteers will let your child know when to get ready for their event. However, it will be helpful if you keep an eye on the bright pink cards that will be hanging on a fence. The number displayed on the cards is the event number that the swimmers are being lined up for. When you see your child’s number displayed, please send them over to the line-up volunteers.

Adams Ridge has a five (5) lane, 25 yard pool (most meets are in meters). Because it has less lanes, we will only be able to field 2 relay teams per event. That makes it a challenge to swim multiple events. All other teams have 6 lanes and we can field 3 relay teams per event. At this time, we are unsure of how many alternate heats we will be permitted to run.

We will be following the North Hills Summer Swim League (NHSSL) COVID19 protocols. Swimmers are required to wear a mask unless they are in the water. They will place their mask in a baggie before they enter the pool. The mask will be returned to them when they exit the pool. Please have your child bring a baggie with their name written in sharpie. Timers and all staff on the pool deck will also be required to wear a mask. Spectators will follow the guidance of the club hosting the meet. We will inform you of the host pool COVID protocols as soon as we are aware of them. You can check out the NHSSL website for more details (https://nhssl.swimtopia.com/).

One more important thing. We cannot do this without you!

Home meets require 26 volunteers. Away meets require 10 volunteers.

Sign up to volunteer at the meets on the Swimtopia website.

With the exception of meet officials, all jobs are very simple and "training on the spot" will be provided. You can find descriptions of the jobs on the Swimtopia website under “Swim Meets 101.”

We are also in need of your donations for our concession stand for home meets. Proceeds from concession sales help fund the team gift for the kids. You will receive a separate email for concession donations.

As always, if you have any questions about the swim team, please do not hesitate to contact us.
